Community in action!

On Sunday 20th March, we were awarded funding from Tunbridge Wells Round Table for a much needed shed for our Hub allotment group.

This cheque was presented to Jen, our Fundraising and Marketing Manager, by the Mayor of Tunbridge Wells, Chris Woodward. The Mayor also presented cheques to a number of other local charities in our community, including the Rusthall Community Larder and Tunbridge Wells Welcomes Refugees. It was a wonderful morning celebrating some fantastic causes in our town and we were so proud to be a part of it.

The Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Table are a group of ordinary guys, aged 18-45, doing extraordinary things to raise money for charitable causes, for example, by putting on community events like the Dunorlan Park Fireworks and running a Santa Sleigh collection for Nourish foodbank. They also assist with community events including Rusthall Village Fete and the TW Half Marathon.

The money for a shed at our allotment group will enable our Hub clients to get more use out of their time experiencing therapy in nature as there will be more space for more equipment and even some cover when the weather turns!

Thank you for your ongoing support Round Tablers.
