We also deliver "Mental Health Training Workshops" What is MHFA? Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training course which teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.MHFA won’t teach you to be a therapist, but it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis – and even potentially stop a crisis from happening. Each participant will be awarded a certificate in Mental Health First Aid. The aim of a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training is to: give everyone the knowledge and confidence to recognise signs of mental health problems encourage someone to seek the right help reduce the stigma around mental illness. What will you learn? Who is the course for? An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing Any adult (16+) who wishes to learn more about mental health issues Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues People who, on a personal level, are supporting those with mental health needs Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress People who, in the course of their work, are supporting those with mental health needs Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening Anybody working in the field of mental health Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix What are the costs? Mental Health Resource is delighted to offer this training course for £300 per person for this 2 day course. For larger groups of 15 people, we can offer this 2 day training course for £2400.
