Pop Up Hair Salon at the Hub!

Just before Christmas, Samantha Wasmuth and Tansy Smith from TW Boorman Funeral Services were armed with curling tongs, shampoo and scissors to pamper our clients at the Hub by giving them free hair cuts at their pop-up hair salon!

TW Boorman had already been supporting our work by promoting our charity at their shop, as part of Mental Health Awareness month in October 2019. Sam and Tansy then came up with the idea to offer free haircuts because of Tansy’s experience as a fully-trained hairdresser.

We were thrilled that they were able to give 10 haircuts on the day, all while playing Christmas tunes and handing out tea and cakes baked by Debbie, Funeral Service Operative at T W Boorman.

The funeral arrangers plan to return with their pop-up hair salon within the next couple of months, with the satisfied customers already signed up for another trim.
