"It felt really nice to serve refreshments to the volunteers - and for us to be treating them! It was a great way to be able to show our appreciation for everything they do. Without their help, we wouldn't be able to deliver such a breadth of groups and activities for our clients". Abbi, Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteer Week at Mental Health Resource

Mental Health Resource celebrated our volunteers' achievements last month with a special Volunteer's Week tea party!

Volunteers & staff came together for tea, cake and scones in our art room, which had been decorated with messages of thanks from clients and staff, along with lots of bunting! The volunteers also received certificates and badges to recognise their ongoing contribution to our charity.

The event was a great opportunity for the volunteers to come together, several of whom had never had a chance to meet before. We were also delighted to be joined by our newest Trustee -Charlie Burgess.

Volunteer Coordinator, Abbi, said, "I hope we can continue to grow our team, embedding volunteers across every area of the organisation and taking it from strength to strength."

Volunteer's Week is a national initiative which runs during the first week of June every year to celebrate the amazing contributions volunteers make to communities across the UK. We hope to make the occasion every year at Mental Health Resource, providing us with the perfect opportunity to say, "Thank you!".
