We are Kent's 'Disability Charity of the Year' 2019!

Mental Health Resource at Kent Charity AwardsMental Health Resource has won 'Disability of the Year' at the Kent Charity Awards 2019!Mental Health Resource Disability Charity of the Year

The aim of these awards is to showcase the hard work and perseverance that charities and voluntary groups undertake to make the lives of others better. There are currently no similar awards in Kent and these awards are open to both small and large charities whether a branch of a national charity, a small community based charity or a voluntary group.

We were absolutely thrilled to win this award as it means that the hard work that our Staff and Volunteers do to support over 900 people every year has been recognised and it also continues to shine a light on the issue of mental illness in our community.

Thank you to Kent Charity Awards for choosing us as Disability Charity of the Year 2019!

Did you know, 26% of our service users have come to us for 10 years or more – like Di, who first used the Hub in 1995 and now runs a peer-support needlecraft group, while counselling others. For Di, MHR, “has saved my life many times” and she is not the only one.
