Experiencing mental illness can make you feel lonely and like no one understands what you're going through. You’re not alone- joining a peer support group can help.Mental Health Resource

Reachout Youth

Reachout Youth’s café style sessions are specifically aimed at young people aged 13-19, experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties. Our groups bring young people together to reduce stigma, share stories, develop coping strategies and make friends.

These groups are facilitated by trained staff and volunteers and provide a venue to share what's troubling you. You'll also meet other young people who’ve had similar experiences. You can find out what has helped others, and have a safe space to talk about things you might not usually share with friends or family.

What to expect from a Reachout Youth sessionReachout Youth

Sessions are informal and participants influence the topics covered, based on their individual needs. Whatever the topic, the groups will always offer;

  • Confidential, self-help support in a supportive, caring and non-judgemental environment.

  • Opportunities to make friends and share with people who understand what you're going through.

  • Tools and resources to build confidence and self-esteem.

  • Strategies to manage stressful life events.

"I enjoy coming to Reachout Youth because I have made new friends and have a new place to rant and get out my frustrations." Reachout Youth client, Tunbridge Wells, 2018.
