Having faced my own mental health challenges, supported friends through theirs, and sadly lost friends to their own mental battles, I really wanted to support this amazing charity as I'm dedicated to making a meaningful difference in our community's journey to better mental health.” Hannah Stevens.

On Saturday 14th October, over 140 guests joined us at the High Rocks Hotel in Tunbridge Wells for our Autumn Charity Ball, organised by the incredible Hannah Stevens and her dad, Paul Stevens. Hannah first heard about our work through her good friend Lydia Smith, who was a supporter of ours and also through Lydia's friend, Caoimhe Fleming, who works for Runway Training - a company who've previously chosen Mental Health Resource as their 'Charity of the Year'.

Hannah was inspired to hold this event, not just to honour Lydia, but also to remember 3 other friends who she has lost to suicide- Emmett Gillah, Jack Wakeman and Frazer Allen.

The evening raised an astonishing £9,094.12 which will help us reach more people in our community who are suffering with their mental health.

Guests were treated to a 3 course meal, and took part in a raffle & auction - where bidding got a little competitive! There were some incredible prizes up for grabs, including a week's holiday staying at a luxury villa in Tenerife and a one night stay at One Warwick Park Hotel. Over £9000 was raised in total and Jen Williams spoke on the evening about the difference that the community fundraising support makes to our small mental health charity.

The night also raised a huge amount of awareness of the mental health challenges that still exist in our community, at a time when 1 in 4 of us will be diagnosed with a mental health condition in our lifetime.

Thank you

We'd like to say a huge thank you to Caoimhe for introducing Hannah to our charity, and everyone who came along to support us on the night. We'd also like to thank the companies and individuals who donated a raffle or auction prize. A full list is below.

But the biggest thanks of all goes to Hannah Stevens and Paul Stevens who spent many months making sure the event can raise as much money as possible. We are blown away by their commitment to our cause and are just so grateful. Thank you!
