“Being part of a choir brings tremendous emotional wellbeing. Mental health issues are close to my heart and it’s wonderful to be able to contribute towards this cause in a meaningful way.” Tanya Griffiths

Rocking out at Rock Choir

Tanya Griffiths, a member of the ‘Tunbridge Wells Late’ Rock Choir group, is brewing up support for us by holding a fundraising tea bar during the group’s rehearsals, where choir members are invited to enjoy a refreshing cuppa in exchange for a small donation towards the charity.

The ‘Tunbridge Wells Late’ Rock Choir group rehearse every Thursday evening at St James Church Hall, with ‘Tanya’s tea bar’ a cherished part of the choir's routine. To date, the group have raised almost £200 for Mental Health Resource with the fundraising due to continue until July 2024.

“Singing has long been acknowledged as one of the best activities for improving mental health, which is why our decision to support the Mental Health Resource, through Tanya’s Tea Bar seemed a very natural choice. We are thrilled to be able to support this fantastic cause in some small way through our weekly tea and coffee bar and know that the money will be put to great use!” Pippa Binham, Rock Choir leader.

Thank you Tanya and the Rock Choir members!
