Raising funds for Mental Health Resource

Sabrina fundraises for mental health resource

From 22nd-28th August, 35 year old Sabrina invited friends and family to join her and the Mayor of Bexhill to walk 50,000 steps for mental health!

Sabrina has used our Hub services in the past for support with her depression and anxiety and decided to fundraise for us as she became aware of the challenges that charities, such as ours, face with funding but conversely, also face an increase in client numbers.

Knowing that physical exercise is a good way to help keep mental health in check, Sabrina & her family walked 50,000 steps during the last week of August along the seafront in Bexhill, to the De La Warr Pavilion and back every day.

Other people made a donation to join her on this challenge and the day was a huge success for mental health awareness!

Holding a raffle for Mental Health

On Sunday 2nd October, Sabrina also held a raffle at Pebsham Market. She sourced 45 prizes from local businesses and the Bexhill Deputy Mayor came to draw the raffle. She was also joined by The Tesco Bexhill Community Champion who donated a wonderful pamper hamper.

Thank you for all your support, Sabrina!

"I’m blown away! Thank you so much to everyone who showed their support to help me raise such a fantastic amount. To all the local businesses, stall holders and community members that donated raffle prizes. To everybody that purchased raffle tickets, all the people that attended the walk / steps challenge and to every single community member that put a donation into the bucket. THANK YOU!"
