Mental Health Resource lantern parade workshopLantern making workshops

Hub Service users recently took part in lantern making workshops, to design and make the Mental Health Resource 'big book of spells' for the Tunbridge Wells Winter Lantern parade on February 22nd.

The lantern parade has been running for 12 years and each year hundreds of people in the community come together to make lanterns and join the parade! The parade is funded by CREATE and Royal Tunbridge Wells Together and is run by CREATE's team of amazing volunteers, with this year's theme being “magic”.

Jane Churchill, a freelance artist who makes the big lanterns for the CREATE lantern parade every year,  ran the Hub workshops. Thank you Jane for getting us involved with such an exciting event this year!

"I am delighted to be working with mental health resource to create a magic book of spells lantern with the creative writing group and all who are joining in!" Jane Churchill
